Cocanha, ce sont deux voix singulières, celles Caroline Dufau et Lila Fraysse, portée par la pulsation des tambourins à cordes, des pieds et des mains. Cocanha cultive le minimalisme et s'inscrit dans l'esthétique des musiques amplifiées, engageant les corps dans la danse. Le répertoire est puisé dans les ressources traditionnelles occitanes, des archives remises en mouvement et replacées dans le fil de l’oralité. Certaines paroles sont ré-écrites, d’autres inventées, émanant d’un imaginaire commun à ciel ouvert, où les protagonistes se ré-approprient leur puissance politique et désirante.

Cocanha are two singular voices, those of Caroline Dufau and Lila Fraysse, carried by the pulsation of “tambourins à cordes” or string drum, feet and hands.
Cocanha cultivates minimalism and is part of the aesthetics of amplified music, inviting our bodies to dance.
Cocanha draws from the traditional Occitan repertoire, recovering songs from the archives, and proudly placing them back on the timeline of an oral art form.
Some lyrics are rewritten, others invented, springing from a common imagination as large as the open skies, where the protagonists re-appropriate their political and desiring power.

Produced by Raül Refree, the new single is fully engaged in hand-to-hand combat against modern society. Carried by the voices and dance of Caroline Dufau and Lila Fraysse, this musical comedy translates in images the contrast of the alienation of our system and the strength of the collective.
